FAQ: Questions Before the Click
A minute spent checking the limits can save an afternoon spent reversing an enthusiastic experiment.
Why can’t I find the setting you describe?
Operating-system version, device model, region, account type and administrator policies can change availability. Search Settings for the feature name and check the linked official documentation. Do not install a look-alike utility just because a switch is missing.
Are hidden features safe to use?
Hidden here means overlooked, not risk-free. Built-in controls can affect privacy, syncing or accessibility. Read the prerequisites, try harmless sample material and record the original setting.
How do I undo a discovery?
Each guide explains the relevant way back. Reversing a switch does not necessarily delete files, shared copies, uploads or data already collected. Check those separately.
Do I need an extension or a paid app?
The phone, browser and software recipes use built-in controls. External web tools have their own terms and may change. No purchase is required by this site to read or try its own draft tool.
Does private browsing make me anonymous?
No. It mainly limits some local session records. Websites, network operators and service providers may still observe activity, and downloaded files remain on the device.
Can a closed tab recover my unsaved work?
Sometimes a restored page retains state, but that is not guaranteed. Expired sessions, dynamic pages and unsaved forms may not recover. Use the app’s own save or recovery features.
Is a browser-based tool always local?
No. Some tools process input in the browser; others upload it. Check the specific tool’s documentation and privacy information. Test with invented data and avoid confidential uploads.
Can I use these tips on a work or school device?
Only within the organization’s rules. Ask the administrator about locked controls and do not bypass management, security software or access restrictions.
Does the contact tool send my message?
No. It prepares plain text on your device. You can copy or download the draft, then send it yourself using your email application. Clipboard access may require HTTPS and permission.
How do I report an error or a new discovery?
Use the contact draft desk or email [email protected]. Include the page, exact steps, device model and software version. Exclude passwords, access tokens and other people’s personal information.
